History of New Zealand Sign Language

Posted on

It is important to understand that the history of New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) is intertwined with the history of the Deaf community. As there is a lot of information regarding these two aspects of the Deaf community in New Zealand, I will format a timeline to show the general history of NZSL and with reference to the Deaf communities evolution during that time. The most important aspects of NZSL’s history I will further explain in depth.

    Hi Victoria!

I’m super excited about the topic of your blog! I’m looking forward to seeing the progress you make. Also, I don’t know much about the history of ASL, so I’m looking forward to learning more.

Remember to keep up your weekly posts, and your reflective practice! They are both parts of the marking criteria. Also we need something else to comment on!!

Your blog is very classy. It looks super professional. Well done! I think it could benefit from some more colour however, maybe a photo, picture, or video here or there to break it up a bit?

    Keep it up Victoria!
